Louvers are derived from the French word “Louvres” which means a window blind or shutter that allows light in and air in and out but keeps out the majority of rain and direct sunlight.
Architectural louvers follow the same path but are able to have additional items attached to them such as A2 rated insulated panels, Blanking sheets, cut outs and Plenums to incorporate modern building requirements
Louvers are parallel horizontal blades which, when built properly, allows air and light to pass through to the benefit of residents of the property.
Louvers can be used as a vision barrier to help hide mechanical or valuable equipment. They also help reduce window damage to structural framing. Blades also manage airflow.
