AW Louvers and Ventilation Limited were employed by the client to resolve an overheating issue they had due to the heat created by the furnaces they used within their business production.
The challenge was to allow the hot air to rise and leave the building whilst allowing cool air into the low levels to help the working environment. The areas we targeted to work with had window frames that could not be altered, adapted or removed so this posed a few design issues.
The plan was to replace high level window areas with picture framed louvers that would act as extract louvers.
To enable the louvers to be fitted into the existing areas, the louvers were mounted onto a welded four sided picture frame which slotted into the existing window frames
